Second arrest after machetes brandished in the city centre

A SECOND suspect has been arrested after a group of youths brandished machetes near Nottingham's Winter Wonderland.

The incident happened outside the Council House in Old Market Square on Sunday evening in view of families enjoying the Christmas market.
Police said the group had fled the scene by the time they arrived. No injuries were reported.
In an update yesterday, police confirmed a 23-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of violent disorder.
