School apologises after MP compared to Hitler in a classroom display

The display in one of the classrooms at Quarrydale Academy

A SCHOOL has apologised for a classroom display that compared Ashfield MP Lee Anderson to Adolf Hitler.

Sutton-in-Ashfield’s Quarrydale Academy says the display was meant to “prompt discussion” - but Mr Anderson said it was “insulting”.

The Reform UK MP raised the issue in the House of Commons on Monday and the school has since confirmed that the display has been taken down.

The display featured a political spectrum which went all the way from “extreme left wing” to “extreme right wing” displaying prominent political figures in each category.

The “extreme right wing” section, which also mentioned fascism and the Nazi Party, featured pictures of Mr Anderson and his party leader Nigel Farage, alongside murderous dictators Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
