Sadness as roller rink announces it will close this summer

NOTTINGHAM'S only roller skating rink has announced it is to close after nine years - but insists it “is not the end of the road” for the business.
Skateland in Lenton was set up in 2016 by Joy Cotton after the last indoor rink closed in the 1990s.
However, yesterday, a spokesperson for the business announced that it will close in the summer.
In a statement posted to Facebook, they said: “It is with great sadness that Skateland will be closing its doors for the final time at its current venue on Sunday July 6.
