Rock City accused of 'union-busting' in row over treatment of staff

MUSIC VENUE DISMISSES UNITE'S CLAIMS AS 'COMPLETELY UNTRUE'

ROCK City has responded after it was accused of doubling down in a row over workers' conditions.

Staff at the city centre music venue, who have been attempting to unionise and improve their working conditions, are being ignored and intimidated, the union Unite claims.

A group of workers said in June that DHP Family which runs the venue in Talbot Street was refusing to meaningfully engage with Unite and had ignored a letter it had sent.

Bosses have now been accused of trying to intimidate staff who are demanding union recognition after raising a range of concerns over harassment policies, bullying and health and safety.
