Ratings so far in rough start to season for Reds
Nottingham Post
|October 11, 2025
WHAT should have been an opportunity to build on last term’s success has started with Nottingham Forest struggling to get going.
Here’s our verdict on the Reds players, marking them out of 10 for their performances so far.
MATZ SELS:
Lifting the Golden Glove award aloft in May must seem like a long time ago now for the Belgian. Forest are yet to register a clean sheet this season and haven't really looked like keeping one to date. That is not to say Sels hasn't made some excellent saves, though. Rating: 7/10
JOHN VICTOR:
There is only a very small sample size to judge the Brazilian on, given his only appearance for the club so far was in the Carabao Cup defeat to Swansea City. He ended up picking the ball out of the net three times that evening. Rating: 6/10
NECO WILLIAMS:
Whether operating on the right or the left, the Welshman has been one of the Reds’ most consistent performers in the opening weeks of the season - picking up from where he left off last time around. Rating: 8/10
OLA AINA:
Prior to sustaining an injury on international duty last month, the Nigerian hadn't exactly been at his best. He has still been sorely missed during his spell on the sidelines, though. Rating: 6/10
NICOLO SAVONA:
It has been a bit of a mixed bag for the 22-year-old in his four appearances as he finds his feet in English football. But he is still young and will have learnt a lot from his early outings. Rating: 6/10
OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO:
The Arsenal loanee has generally been positive going forward but has looked vulnerable defensively. Nevertheless, he has taken to the role being asked of him by Postecoglou and seems to fit the ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss’ style of play. Rating: 6/10
MURILLO:
Injury has hindered the Brazilian in recent weeks; even when he tried to make his comeback against FC Midtjylland, he lasted less than half an hour. Rating: 6/10
NIKOLA MILENKOVIC:
