Prison for burglars who were caught after ransacking Islamic centre

A BUNGLING burglar left fingerprints and DNA at crime scenes in Nottinghamshire when he broke into premises.

Nathan Furnell was arrested on May 15 when he and another man ransacked the Bilborough Islamic Centre, Wigman Road.
Police received a call that two suspects had broken into the centre. When officers arrived, the pair attempted to escape with around £30 from the centre's collection tin and perfumes.
However, Furnell was detained after he unsuccessfully tried to evade officers by scaling a one-storey building nearby.
James Hutchinson, 56, also involved, was detained at the scene.
Once in custody, Furnell was linked to further crimes as far back as September 2024.
On September 15, 2024, Furnell broke into a property in Woodborough Road, Mapperley, and took four laptops and a significant amount of jewellery.
