CCTV PLEA IN WAKE OF GENDER RIGHTS PROTEST IN WHICH LANDMARK WAS TARGETED
POLICE have released images of two people they want to trace after the city's Brian Clough statue was vandalised.
CCTV footage shows messages being scrawled on the bronze monument, off Old Market Square, on Easter Sunday, April 20.
The graffiti was scrawled in chalk during a demonstration over gender rights and resulted in council workers having to jet wash the statue.
The message read “trans lives matter” and was joined by two hearts.
Police have now released photos of two people they wish to speak to.
