Dawson weighs in on sacking debate, while Wilson waves farewell

- By SARAH CLAPSON

IT is a big week ahead for Nottingham Forest as they prepare to return to action after the international break.

The Reds host Chelsea at the City Ground on Saturday (12.30pm) looking to turn around a miserable run of form. Head coach Ange Postecoglou finds himself under significant pressure as a result of a seven-match winless start to his tenure.

It remains to be seen how long the former Tottenham Hotspur boss will retain the faith of Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.

Sean Dyche is already being talked about as a potential replacement, if a change is made.

Whatever happens, there is certainly a lot riding on this weekend's clash with the Blues.

Ahead of the game, here's a look at the latest goings-on Trentside.

Dyche debate

Former Red Michael Dawson is not surprised to see Dyche's name crop up as a possible candidate for the Forest hot seat, if Marinakis opts to wield the axe. But the ex-defender nevertheless feels it is early to be making a judgement on the current occupant.

"Sean Dyche is a top, top manager, no doubting that," Dawson told Sky Sports. "But they've got Ange Postecoglou in and Marinakis employed him.

"What, in seven games you are now going to change your mind? We knew what he (Postecoglou) was going to bring.

"People at the bottom end of the Premier League will be looking at Sean Dyche because of the job he did at Burnley and then at Everton, keeping them in the Premier League. I'm not surprised that football clubs who are struggling are talking about Sean Dyche because he is a top manager."
