PRISON SENTENCE FOR CONTROLLING ABUSER WHO LOCKED EX IN HOUSE AND CONSTANTLY ACCUSED HER OF BEING UNFAITHFUL

- By MARTIN NAYLOR

A NOTTINGHAM woman's relationship with “the perfect partner” ended with her feeling “broken inside” by his paranoid, controlling and violent behaviour.

The victim says she cannot live in her home of 10 years because of the bad memories she has from her year with Neil Price.

During their time together, the 41-year-old abuser constantly accused her of sleeping with other men, even driving around Arnold looking for a workman he wrongly claimed she had been with.

Now he is behind bars for his offences.

Jailing him for three-and-a-half years at Nottingham Crown Court, Judge Michael Auty KC said: “The background to this is that you began a relationship with the victim and you almost immediately disclosed that you had been hurt in the past and had trust issues. It is a testimony to her that she was initially sympathetic and empathetic towards you.

“But what happened was that you swiftly descended into the abyss, falsely accusing her of being unfaithful to you, not just with people at work, but with people she chanced upon.
