Pearce: Forest need to focus on the good times

LEGENDARY CAPTAIN SADDENED BY DISCONTENT ON TRENTSIDE
STUART Pearce fears the uncertainty over Nuno Espirito Santo's future could overshadow Forest's first European season in 30 years.
Nuno's relationship with volatile owner Evangelos Marinakis has been a red-hot talking point among the Forest faithful in recent weeks and a 3-0 home defeat against struggling West Ham on Sunday did little to lift the mood ahead of the international break.
Forest are looking forward to European football for the first time since the 1995/96 season, when Pearce captained the club in what was then the UEFA Cup.
But he hopes their latest continental jaunts do not become jeopardised by any further managerial uncertainty.
“The club, the fans and the squad of players, they are all in a really good place at the moment, and it saddens me to be talking about Nuno and his relationship with the owner of the football club," he said.
“That's a side issue. They should be concentrating and focusing on all the good that’s happened at that football club. | hope it's resolved soon.
