Owners 'overwhelmed with love' as restaurant closes after 29 years

THE owners of a family-run restaurant have said an emotional farewell as they closed the doors after nearly 30 years.

Ashmores, in Bingham Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, served its final customers at the weekend.

The restaurant has been a place for family parties, business meetings, weddings and christening celebrations for 29 years.

Jo and Mark Ashmore gave diners advance warning at the end of May that the time was right for them to retire due to the challenges facing the hospitality industry currently.

In a final message to customers, past and present, they said: "This isn't easy, but we close our doors with full hearts and 29 years of memories we'll treasure forever.
