'No-go' and 'go-slow' zones now in force as e-scooter trial returns to the city

OLD Market Square and The Park Estate are among new "no-go zones" as e-scooters return to Nottingham.

Nottingham City Council has confirmed that it will be working with operator Dott to create several "no-go" and "low-speed zones" to improve the safety of its e-scooter trial.

Around 1,300 scooters were available to hire in Nottingham again from yesterday and the city council has now confirmed all the areas in which their use will be restricted.

As well as Old Market Square and The Park, the council has also created no-go zones through the Victoria Centre and The Exchange.

The scooters will also be banned from Exchange Walk, part of Goldsmith Street near Nottingham Trent University and around the Theatre Royal/Royal Centre tram stop.

Low-speed zones include Nottingham College's Broad Marsh campus, the area around The Cornerhouse building and scores of other streets including Clumber Street and Lister Gate.
