ENDLESS FLOW OF SMALL PLATES ACTUALLY MEANS THERE'S LESS FOOD WASTE AT KINU

No limits at new restaurant where two dishes arrive every ten minutes

THE word limitless food conjures up the idea of all-you-can-eat buffets but new Nottingham restaurant Kinu is putting a different spin on the concept.

Diners can enjoy an endless flow of refined Asian-inspired dishes, served at the table for £45 a head (excluding drinks and desserts).

Kinu, which translates as silk and is pronounced Ki-noo, also offers an à la carte menu of the same small plates.

The restaurant has opened in the grand white Grade II listed property, once Carluccio’s Italian restaurant, in Low Pavement - an area of the city which is fast becoming Nottingham's Asian quarter since it's also home to Kushi-ya and Boulangerie de Saigon.

The menu is broken down into small beginnings, steamed artistry, liquid comfort, iron plate mastery, breath of fire, sushi and garden fresh.

Dishes include twice-fried chicken, soy marinade and fresh yuzu kosho, braised pork belly bao buns, chicken ramen, seared sirloin with teriyaki reduction and crispy garlic and emerald prawn green curry.

The property has been empty since Tomahawk Steakhouse closed down in June 2023.

Everywhere but the bar has been given a complete makeover by the new owners - Goz Dar, who used to have a corporate job, and her partner Ricardo Banjo, an electrical engineer.
