'Negligent' owner fined for letting homes slide

VILLAGERS FRUSTRATED AT HOUSES BEING IN ‘UNACCEPTABLE STATE’
A PROPERTY owner has been fined nearly £4,000 after letting three prominent homes deteriorate for nearly 30 years.
Mark Reaston was prosecuted by Rushcliffe Borough Council for failing to bring the houses on The Green in Ruddington back to a reasonable condition.
He was found guilty of 15 counts of failing to comply with statutory notices issued by the authority at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
