Mum says event bosses blamed five-year old son for nasty injury

SHE WAS ‘HIT BY METAL FROM A CATERING VAN’
A FURIOUS mum has slammed the organisers of a monster truck event after she suffered a gruesome injury - which she has said was then blamed on her young son.
Ionelia Andronic travelled for around an hour to take her five-year-old son to the monster truck event at Southwell Racecourse on July 19.
But the 32-year-old and her boy's day out was cut short when she was struck by a metal part that fell from a catering van, knocking her to the ground and slicing her face open.
Ms Andronic has accused the event’s organisers, RA Monster Events, of failing to treat her properly and of blaming her child for the accident, which she says will likely leave her with permanent facial scars.
“The impact felt really heavy - it was so powerful it knocked me straight on to the ground, it ripped my trousers and scraped my knee.
“If it had hit my child it could have been fatal for him.
“After a head injury, as far as I know, you should not be lifting them from the ground. They were very unprofessional”
