Moving your body can also give your soul a workout

FOR the last five years, my Saturday mornings have nearly all been spent teaching a hot-yoga class.

Like everyone, I had heard of yoga, tried a class here and there, and really enjoyed it, but when lockdown hit, I took it up with vigour. Long story short: I loved it so much, I trained to be a teacher and now, every Saturday, I teach at the studio that first taught me to love moving my body. A full circle moment.

What I love most about yoga is the way it, not only invites me to move my body, but also to live out Jesus' important command to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength". (Mark 12:30). It brings a sacred physicality to my faith.
