Man who raped 15-year-old girl in bedroom has fled the country

A RAPIST picked up and carried a 15-year-old girl into a bedroom against her will and subjected her to a violent sex attack.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how after being arrested and charged Aland Ahmed then fled the country and his whereabouts still remains a mystery.

The 23-year-old, who was 19 at the time of the offence, was tried in his absence and found guilty of a single charge of rape.

And in a victim impact statement the teenager told how she has “turned to drink and drugs” as a result of what happened to her.

Jailing the defendant for nine years, Judge Steven Coupland said: “He was 19 at the time and is still only 23 now and the delay in this case is entirely down to him because of his initial denials of the offence and then him absenting himself.
