King praises 'unique, vital' regional media

THE King and Queen have hosted 400 representatives of the regional media at Buckingham Palace, in a reception which is thought to be the first of its kind for the industry.
Journalists from a variety of regional media organisations, including many from Reach, joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at an evening reception to show support for the industry.
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also in attendance, as well as representatives from journalism organisations like the Society of Editors, the Journalists' Charity and the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
Natalie Fahy, senior editor of Nottinghamshire Live and the Nottingham Post, was one of the guests in attendance, as well as Derbyshire Live's agenda editor Zena Hawley.
Zena spoke to the King about the importance of local companies like Rolls-Royce, which the King agreed was "important" for the area.
