Jota shows he can help Forest in front line as injuries take toll

FOR much of this season, Nuno Espirito Santo's Nottingham Forest XI has picked itself.

Consistency in selection has been a key feature of the Reds' Champions League push. Midfield was perhaps the one area of the pitch where there was a question mark over who should start.

That was until injuries struck. Having been fortunate on that front for so long, Forest found themselves without several key men for last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa - and they then had another name added to the list of walking wounded by the end of the evening.

Chris Wood, Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi were all absent in the West Midlands. Anthony Elanga started the match but was withdrawn at half-time, with head coach Nuno admitting the winger would require a scan after not feeling comfortable.

The Reds were in need of signing a striker this summer anyway but how Saturday panned out surely sealed the deal.
