Housing plan 'last chance' to bring more families back to student area

A NEWLY revealed housing plan has offered a “last chance to bring balance" to a student-dominated area of the city.
Developer Keepmoat and Nottingham Community Housing Association want to build 73 affordable homes on land at the junction of Derby Road and Johnson Road in Lenton.
While no formal plans have been submitted to Nottingham City Council, prospective developer Keepmoat has been asking residents of the city area for their opinions on the project. The new housing would be constructed on the old playing fields of the former Greenholme School.
The fields have been closed off since the private school closed in July 2011 and have been plagued by vandals and fly-tippers ever since.
