Harassment by jilted ex-partner made my life hell, victim tells court

CAMPAIGN CONTINUED AFTER HE WAS ARRESTED
A MAN bombarded his ex-partner with hundreds of texts, calls and messages after struggling to deal with their breakup.
Nottingham Crown Court heard that over a number of weeks, Martin Jacks also parked outside her home, followed her to a dog grooming parlour in Mapperley and turned up at the Queen's Medical Centre, where she worked.
After his activities were reported to the police the 44-year-old was arrested at his Bilborough home, where cocaine and cannabis were discovered, and he was bailed not to contact the victim again.
But he carried on his campaign relentlessly, leading her to say "he made my life hell".
Handing him a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, Recorder Mark Ainsworth said: "Your relationship ended and you struggled to come to terms with that and what followed was a barrage - and I don't usually use that word - of messages.
"Texts and calls. I find it quite remarkable that a short time after you were arrested, you contacted her again very shortly after.
"It's almost breathtaking. This would have had a devastating effect on her and her wellbeing.
