Sneinton has been covered in scaffolding for months but work has not begun
IMPROVEMENT work could start later this year on a council tower block that has been described as prison-like.
Council officials say that a regulator is said to be very close to giving the go-ahead.
The ageing 16-storey Colwick Woods Court building in Sneinton has been encased in scaffolding for months, with workers preparing the towering 1960s structure for upgrades that would make it warmer and safer.
