Four-week bus diversions as gas works on busy road enter next stage

SEVERAL bus services are diverting on a busy route into Nottingham due to the latest closure caused by ongoing gas works.

Cadent Gas is replacing pipes in and around Mansfield Road, starting between Sherwood and Woodthorpe in October last year.

The previous phase of work led to the closure of several lanes of Mansfield Road in Daybrook, while part of Nottingham Road was shut completely. It led to prolonged heavy congestion, provoking the anger of many nearby businesses.
