Former Red Bowler hits winner as U21s lose in Trophy clash

JOSH Bowler might have felt a smidgeon of satisfaction as he scored the winning goal in the Vertu Trophy victory over former club Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.

Up against Forest's Under-21s in the EFL Trophy, the former Reds winger weaved his way through the defence to give his team a 2-1 win.
The 26-year-old is in his third stint at Bloomfield Road, having joined Forest from The Seasiders in the summer of 2022 following promotion to the Premier League.
He was part of the trolley dash that saw Steve Cooper given 21 new players to fashion into a team.
