Forest denied by late leveller but it may be precious point
Nottingham Post

NOTTINGHAM Forest's search for their second Premier League win of the season goes on but they claimed what could be a valuable point in a 2-2 draw with Manchester United.
The hosts had to come from behind at the City Ground. They took the lead through goals from Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona but were unable to hang on for the three points.
The lack of a midweek fixture had provided Sean Dyche with valuable time on the training ground with his squad ahead of the clash Trentside. And the Reds made a positive start to the new head coach's first home League game.
Igor Jesus had a shot on the turn deflected behind and Nikola Milenkovic headed off target from the resulting corner. Dan Ndoye had an effort saved soon after as the hosts looked to build some attacking momentum.
Just when it looked as though Forest were finding some rhythm, midfielder Douglas Luiz was forced off with what appeared to be a hamstring problem. The hosts still created some openings but United began to carry more of a threat and Matz Sels had to make a big save to thwart Amad Diallo.
For the second game running, the Reds fell behind following a disputed corner. Nicolo Savona looked to have kept the ball in but the flag-kick was given and Casemiro headed in with 34 minutes gone.
Forest were fuming at the decision but they turned the game around with two goals in the space of two minutes after the break.
Morgan Gibbs-White headed in the equaliser from Ryan Yates’ cross, then Savona hooked the ball in from close range after a cross was knocked into his path.
