Firework wars are back with a bang

NOTTINGHAM’'S “firework wars” are back, with videos on social media showing young people throwing or aiming them at each other around the city centre.
The footage shows people running after each other, aiming large fireworks at each other all over the city, from Nottingham city centre to Radford student accommodation blocks.
Fireworks were shot at the emergency services, buildings, and members of the public in 2023 and 2024, leading to ten arrests.
Recently, new videos showing similar behaviour have been posted on TikTok.
