Fire at scrap metal facility was accidental

AN investigation has revealed that a blaze that ripped through a recycling plant near Ilkeston was started accidentally.

Firefighters were called to Ward Recycling Centre on Griffon Road at 11.20am on Thursday.
Crews from Ilkeston, Heanor, Nottingham Road, Long Eaton, Clay Cross, Ascot Drive, Wirksworth, Crich, and Nottinghamshire's Stapleford, Eastwood, and Ashfield stations attended the scene.
