ACTOR PLAYED ICONIC ROLE FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS

- By LYNETTE PINCHESS

THE Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival is back for the fifth time at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground with more than 600 beers and 100 ciders and, this year, a touching tribute to late Robin Hood actor Tim Pollard.

Organised by Nottingham's Campaign for Real Ale (Camra), hundreds of beers and ciders sourced from all over the country are represented at the festival, including from some of Nottingham's own cherished breweries.

They have dedicated the festival to Nottingham's most famous Robin Hood, Tim Pollard, a regular of the festival, who died from cancer at the end of June at the age of 61.

This year, the festival has decided to dedicate the design of its glasses to the late actor who played the role of the outlaw for more than 30 years.
