REVIEW TO LOOK AT FUTURE USE OF HISTORIC BUILDING

- By JOSHUA HARTLEY

THE factory where Boots products had been produced will finally be decommissioned after hundreds of redundancies.

French company Fareva, which makes various products for Beeston-based Boots, closed its factory at the health and beauty giant's Thane Road headquarters last year.

The plant shut in the summer of 2024 and Fareva has been making workers redundant and removing equipment ever since.

New documents filed with Companies House for subsidiary BCM Limited have now confirmed that the lengthy decommissioning of the site would be completed this autumn.

"The company’s product testing service (analytical services), research and development, commercial and procurement activities will continue to operate out of the Nottingham site," its financial filings said.
