Drug user embarked on burglary spree to fund addiction

A DRUG user burgled three houses in 16 days to fund his addiction.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how during two of the break-ins the occupants were in and asleep as Jordan Welch went through their homes and took jewellery, aftershave, electrical items and clothing.

The 24-year-old's offending has left one woman "scared to sit in her room" while another woman's young daughter was in the address when the defendant entered it.

Welch, who has a previous conviction for robbery, has been put behind bars for his latest crimes.
