Driver aimed car at pedestrian in raging 'moment of madness'

A DRIVER deliberately mowed down a pedestrian when "a rage descended in a moment of madness"

Vincent White, 34, deliberately drove his car into the man after seeing him leave a chemist in Clifton, striking him from behind and thenheading off.

The victim initially picked himself up and walked home but the pain was too much and he went to the Queen's Medical Centre where it was discovered he'd suffered multiple fractures to his left shoulder.

Nottingham Crown Court heard that the motive for White's sudden decision to drive into the man was a row between the victim and the defendant's father, who died a few days earlier.
