Developer speaks out amid flooding concerns near estate

A DEVELOPER has sought to address concerns after social media posts showed flood water backing up onto an unsold new-build estate.

The new development of around 40 homes at Hempsill Croft, Nuthall, just off Low Wood Road, has started to take offers. However, residents on a nearby estate have expressed concerns after seeing a significant amount of floodwater next to the properties.
The footpath which borders the new development has been closed by the developer, Peveril Homes, which has since reportedly addressed flood risk concerns along the site boundary. The public footpath, which runs over Low Wood Road and is adjacent to the development, continues on the other side into fields that were also flooded.
