Demolition of ‘eyesore’ cinema completed - with half a million bricks reclaimed

THE demolition of a cinema in Long Eaton which had been dubbed a “major eyesore” has been completed by the council.
The site of the derelict Galaxy cinema, in Derby Road, has been cleared to make way for a development of smart affordable homes and three commercial units.
Upon demolishing the building, survey work is now taking place ready for foundations to go in.
