Chocolate pizza firm goes into liquidation

AN 18-YEAR-OLD Nottinghamshire firm has entered liquidation and staff made redundant after struggling to cope with rising financial pressure.
The Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Co, which had made solid Belgian chocolate pizzas since 2007, appointed liquidators on Thursday, March 12.
Louise Williams and Luke Brough of Opus Restructuring & Insolvency have been appointed to wind up the Cotgrave chocolatier which ceased trading on February 27. "As a result of increasing financial pressure due to rising input costs, particularly cocoa prices, the company ceased trading," an Opus spokesperson said. "The joint liquidators will now work to realise the assets and pay dividends to creditors."
