Chocolate eggs are better with batter, says chip shop boss

HOW is it even possible to improve on chocolate Easter eggs and hot cross buns?
According to a Nottingham chippy they are better with batter.
Sinful, yes, but they taste so right.
The deep-fried Easter treats are on sale at the Cod’s Scallops fish and chip shops in Carrington, Wollaton, Wilford and Long Eaton.
Over the Easter season they sell like hot cakes.
Last year around 1,000 hot cross buns were consumed by chippy customers.
The buns are filled with Nutella for a gooey chocolate centre.
After being coated in batter they're fried in hot oil for around four minutes until golden.
Once cooked, they're rolled in vanilla sugar. The result is similar to a doughnut with the added bonus of an aromatic spice flavour.
