'Always a queue' for mobile fishmonger named best in the country
Nottingham Post

MULTIPLE AWARD-WINNER HAS BEEN SERVING VILLAGERS FROM HIS VAN FOR FOUR DECADES
OVER four decades, Terry Buck has built a business on personal service, trust and quality.
The mobile fishmonger attracts queues everywhere he goes as well as serving loyal customers door-to-door across Nottinghamshire.
The Post caught up with him and his son Oliver while they were trading in the car park of The Plough pub in Farnsfield.
The steady stream of fish lovers didn’t slow down, keen to buy from the wide range in the back of his van, which includes cod, haddock, sea bass, monkfish, sea bream, halibut and rainbow trout and sashimi tuna.
There's shellfish too, such as mussels, prawns, scallops and crab, and smoked fish, amongst them kippers.
But the best seller is the Bakkafrost salmon, possibly the finest there is, from the clean, cold waters surrounding the Faroe Islands between Norway and Iceland.
His reputation and dedication have led to T. Buck Seafoods being named the best mobile fishmonger in England by the National Federation of Fishmongers.
Terry, 63, who lives in Farnsfield, said: “I'm absolutely gobsmacked, both me and my son Oliver.
“It was a big surprise. We entered it but we didn’t think we'd win. It’s absolutely brilliant news and great for business. There's not many of us about, probably less now than there ever has been.
