4,500 young people caught dodging fares

THOUSANDS of young people have been fined in a year for travelling without a ticket on the county's trams.

Nottingham Express Transit (NET) has issued a plea as more than 4,500 people aged 16 to 21 received fines in the last academic year. The company now wants to “empower” young people to save money “the right way” when travelling on the tram.
