Tech to improve congested junction
North Devon Journal
|February 26, 2026
A NEW system to help traffic flow through Braunton’s often grid- locked centre has been given the go-ahead.
-
The technology, which uses sensors to detect real-time traffic speeds and volumes to optimise movement and reduce delays, will be installed to existing traffic signals at the busy junction of the A361/Caen Street/East Street.
It is being funded with £120,000 secured from two development schemes at Chivenor.
