OpenAl said it has finalized a record-breaking $110 billion funding round at a $730 billion valuation, not including the money raised, fuelling the ChatGPT maker's costly push to secure more computing power and talent for artificial intelligence (AI) development.

- Bloomberg

Amazon.com Inc. is investing $50 billion in the financing round, OpenAl said Friday, by far the largest amount the e-commerce giant has put into any firm. SoftBank Group Corp. and Nvidia Corp. each invested $30 billion, it said.
