The Centre is considering splitting the 20 gigawatt-hour (GWh) of cell manufacturing capacity to be awarded for the production linked incentive scheme for advanced chemistry cells (PLIACC) between mobility and stationary storage applications, said two people in the know.
While the mobility applications will be overseen by the ministry of heavy industries (MHI), the ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) will step in to handle the capacity allocated for stationary applications.
