Gold climbs ₹500 to touch ₹1.2 lakh/10g

Gold prices on Tuesday climbed ₹500 to touch record ₹1.20 lakh per 10g in the national capital on a weak dollar and expectations of further rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve.
According to the All India Sarafa Association, the yellow metal rallied ₹1,500 to close at ₹1,19,500 per 10g on Monday. Gold of 99.5% purity extended the gains for fourth straight session by rising ₹500 to hit a record of ₹1,19,400 per 10g (inclusive of all taxes) in the local bullion market.
The precious metal settled at ₹1,18,900 per 10g in the previous market session.
