Ambitious cement prices get a reality check in November

The strength of cement prices was not sustainable to begin with. After a sharp uptick in September and October, prices have corrected a bit.
Given the quantum of price rises in a short span, a partial rollback was widely anticipated.
Average all-India cement price of one 50-kg bag in the trade segment fell by almost 2% month-on-month to ₹382, showed dealers channel check by Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities (India). Trade segment is where cement is sold by the manufacturer to dealers.
