The bank has sought approval to appoint a committee of executives to oversee CEO responsibilities
IndusInd Bank Ltd said on Tuesday its chief executive officer (CEO) Sumant Kathpalia has resigned, as the country's fifth-largest private lender saw a management shakedown after a derivatives accounting lapse hit the bank's net worth.
His deputy Arun Khurana had also resigned on Monday, after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) urged the two to step down following the accounting lapses, Reuters had reported in March.
