Indian equity benchmarks rose with broad-based gains on Monday as prospects of foreign investors turning buyers after an aggressive selloff earlier this month propelled a rebound in stocks.

The Nifty 50 rose 0.79% to 26,172.4 and the BSE Sensex added 0.75% to 85,567.48.
