'Kind and loving' dad died after his car hit lorry

A “KIND” dad took his own life by driving his car into a lorry, an inquest has found.

Jason Maber, 50, was fatally injured in a collision at 9.55am on August 1 last year while driving a Vauxhall car on the A473 Church Village bypass in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Coroner Graeme Hughes, sitting at Pontypridd Coroners’ Court, said: “He had entered the section between the Church Village and Llantwit Fadre roundabouts.

“Prior to entering that stretch, and out of keeping with his normal practice, he had unbuckled his seatbelt.
