Student electrocuted to death in Samal

A 14-year-old student was electrocuted to death inside her school in the Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 19.
The student of Mambago-B National High School was on her way home when she accidentally touched a live wire. Her friend attempted to rescue her but was also electrocuted.
They were taken to a hospital where the victim was declared dead from serious injuries. Her friend is recovering.
The Department of Education-Davao Region is conducting an investigation and authorities are inspecting the school’s electrical connection to avoid a repeat of the incident.
The victim's family appealed for justice.
