TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR TRILLION PESO MARCH FEB. 25, 2026, 6:00 A.M. ONWARDS
More than 13,000 policemen will be deployed to secure the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution today, Feb. 25, the same day that the third “Trillion Peso March” will take place, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said they will be implementing a multilayered deployment strategy that includes deployment of anti-riot policemen, police visibility for anti-crime measures, and conduct of checkpoints and border control.
For rapid response and public safety, he said the PNP has positioned 501 Quick Reaction Teams, including SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal)/K9 units, alongside 337 traffic and route security teams to manage vehicular flow and ensure safe access routes.
Covert security personnel, he said, numbering 381 are also strategically deployed to monitor potential threats discreetly.
