Remulla is new Ombudsman

President Marcos has appointed Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla as the new Ombudsman, Malacañang announced on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Remulla will assume the post vacated by former Ombudsman Samuel Martires, who completed his seven-year term in July. Remulla had served as the 59th Secretary of Justice since June 2022.
