New rule allows more OFWs to avail of gov't housing program

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) urged overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to avail of the housing program following the decision to ease the qualification and add more benefits to maximize the assistance of the national government.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said OFWs may now avail of a housing unit regardless of their monthly income, which is the salient point of the Pag-IBIG Fund Circular No. 473 signed on July 10.
The qualification of OFWs to avail socialized housing regardless of their monthly income under the Expanded 4PH is among the salient provisions of Pag-IBIG Fund Circular No. 473 signed by chief executive officer Marilene Acosta dated July 10, 2025.
