In the aftermath of the highly charged and divisive midterm elections, our nation stands at a fragile crossroads.

- JOSE DE VENECIA JR.

Passions have run high, battle lines have been drawn, and heated words have been exchanged. But now that the ballots have been cast and the people have spoken, it is time to turn the page and begin the difficult but necessary work of national healing.

We know fully well — from decades of public service and from having lived through numerous political storms — that calls for unity are far easier said than done. Yes, it is a lofty ideal, but not beyond our reach. Our nation has always found a way to come together in the face of adversity, and this moment should be no different.
